Working 10 weeks in Silicon Valley, a decisive asset

Jarvis Legal was part of the BPI France and Business France program in Silicon Valley, called Impact North America.

Thus, for 10 weeks in San Francisco, USA, our team was able to develop our American activity and improve our solutions.

This experience is recounted in this interview (in English) given to Impact North America by the president of Jarvis Legal, Alexandre Yérémian.

7 tips to remember when going to Silicon Valley

The new class of 2017 has been selected and will soon experience adventure in San Francisco and New York. The Impact team reminds 7 key concepts (in English) to keep in mind when embarking on this adventure.

Indeed, cultural differences are important and should not be underestimated. Let's take a very simple example. For many, Silicon Valley is San Francisco. And San Francisco is the Golden Gate.

In reality, Silicon Valley is spread across the entire San Francisco Bay Area. So, if Salesforce is located in the heart of SF, Google is in Mountain View, Facebook in Palo Alto and Apple in Cupertino.

And the largest city in the Bay is San José, the true historic capital of Silicon Valley. Today, it still concentrates the majority of technology companies in the area.

Open-mindedness

For us, the notion of open-mindedness and questioning is the essential value for success.

As Anthony recalls in this same article “7 quick tips from Impact USA alumni before launching your startup in the US” :

"Stay open minded & take all the feedback you receive. This will allow you to better your product, your operations & processes”Says Jarvis Legal's VP North America Anthony.

This is the key to the Impact North America experience: feedback – questioning – product improvement.

Thus, thanks to this experience, Jarvis Legal was able to accelerate its development in the United States and improve its software solutions for the benefit of all American and European lawyer clients.
