Jarvis Legal highlights its users in Décideurs magazine

Jarvis Legal was the subject of coverage by Décideurs magazine, in its “Best Business Law Firms” edition.

We present our vision of the avocado market and take stock of the innovations we are preparing.

Find testimonials from certain users like Me Le Bars, based in Paris or Me Arnauts, in Brussels.

Me Benoît Le Bars, co-founder and managing partner of the law firm Lazareff Le Bars, Jarvis Legal user since 2013

“Our firm Lazareff Le Bars is an international firm of around twenty employees based in Paris and specialized in dispute resolution: international arbitration, international business litigation and alternative methods of settling international disputes.

We chose Jarvis Legal in 2013 in order to have a simple, intuitive and rigorous invoicing tool.

For example, the simplicity of invoicing and tracking collections allowed us to save around 30% time and invoice 10% more (thanks to simple and rigorous time tracking). We imported our own invoice templates and set up the numbering and accounting accounts. Since then, we have been invoicing and exporting into accounting very quickly.

Data security: opt for cloud solutions!

Data security is essential in a connected world. On the one hand, digital transformation requires openness to the world, to mobility, to collaboration, to sharing with customers and colleagues.

On the other hand, threats encourage closure, that of ransomwares, Phishing, piracy (see Echoes article).

Between these two contradictory injunctions, how can you implement the right security strategy?

The security of your data is like a treasure to be protected

Is your money safe?

By comparing your data to your money, we can try to advance the thinking by answering the following question: where is your money safer?

  1. Under your mattress
  2. In a safe at home
  3. At the bank

If you answer 1, you have, are going to or are in the process of having your data hacked.

Answer 2, you have invested a lot of money to protect yourself from pickpockets, but not from thieves.

Answer 3 of course is the correct one. You are protected, secure and insured: everything is fine.

Discover our digital training for lawyers

Jarvis Legal provides regular digital training for law firms. The last one was held on Tuesday March 28 with lawyers from the Créteil bar.

Challenges of digital training

The objective of these digital training courses is to help lawyers understand the challenges of digital technology in their work and their client relationships. Secondly, we propose a method for putting change actions into practice within the firm.

Threats and opportunities of legaltechs

First, we recall the historical development of IT and its consequences for the legal sector.

Today, the evolution of technology is leading to the emergence of startups of a somewhat new type, legaltechs. These solutions are all based on cloud technology, which allows very significant processing capacity at low cost.

Their particularity is to offer new solutions to old problems, such as document search time, management of document models, or even sharing of information with clients.

Far from seeing this as a threat, we strongly encourage lawyers to take an interest in them (Jarvis Legal, Mon-avocat.fr, Doctrine.fr, etc.) because they represent an opportunity to save time, win over customers and increase their added value.

The American market in which we operate is a striking example of this point of view. While legaltechs have existed for more than 5 years, the density of lawyers is 3 times greater than in France and incomes are much higher than in France (in purchasing power parity).

So there's no point in worrying: you have to go for it!
