“Our firm Lazareff Le Bars is an international firm of around twenty employees based in Paris and specialized in dispute resolution: international arbitration, international business litigation and alternative methods of settling international disputes.

We chose Jarvis Legal in 2013 in order to have a simple, intuitive and rigorous invoicing tool.

For example, the simplicity of invoicing and tracking collections allowed us to save around 30% time and invoice 10% more (thanks to simple and rigorous time tracking). We imported our own invoice templates and set up the numbering and accounting accounts. Since then, we have been invoicing and exporting into accounting very quickly.

If you answer 1, you have, are going to or are in the process of having your data hacked.

Answer 2, you have invested a lot of money to protect yourself from pickpockets, but not from thieves. 

Answer 3 of course is the correct one. You are protected, secure and insured: everything is fine.

As a reminder, Jarvis Legal is an independent company, owned by its founders and employees and supported by BPI France. With more than 4.000 lawyers using its solutions, Jarvis Legal is one of the market leaders in Europe.

The objective of these digital training courses is to help lawyers understand the challenges of digital technology in their work and their client relationships. Secondly, we propose a method for putting change actions into practice within the firm.

Threats and opportunities of legaltechs

First, we recall the historical development of IT and its consequences for the legal sector.

Today, the evolution of technology is leading to the emergence of startups of a somewhat new type, legaltechs. These solutions are all based on cloud technology, which allows very significant processing capacity at low cost.

Their particularity is to offer new solutions to old problems, such as document search time, management of document models, or even sharing of information with clients.

Far from seeing this as a threat, we strongly encourage lawyers to take an interest in them (Jarvis Legal, Mon-avocat.fr, Doctrine.fr, etc.) because they represent an opportunity to save time, win over customers and increase their added value.

The American market in which we operate is a striking example of this point of view. While legaltechs have existed for more than 5 years, the density of lawyers is 3 times greater than in France and incomes are much higher than in France (in purchasing power parity).

So there's no point in worrying: you have to go for it!
